Does RDC have a dress code?

Yes, RDC has a dress code. Please see the details below.

Does RDC enforce dress code?

Yes, Revolution Dance Center has a strict dress code to ensure safety, discipline, and uniformity. Proper attire helps instructors evaluate body alignment and muscle use. Dancers not following the dress code will receive a reminder card. If non-compliance continues, they may be asked to observe the class or go home, with parents potentially contacted.

Dance shoes should remain inside the studio, and no jewelry is allowed in the classroom for safety reasons. Dancers who do not adhere to the dress code will be given a reminder card and may be asked to observe the class.

Do you have placement classes?

Why Should My Child Be Evaluated?
Every studio has different class levels, so previous instruction may not align with RDC’s structure. To ensure proper placement, students with prior dance experience are evaluated by one of our dance discipline directors upon arrival. This helps place them in the correct level according to RDC’s teaching methods and progression, ensuring they receive the best training while growing at their own pace. Our goal is to challenge students without causing frustration or overwhelm.

Class Placement
Students are placed based on their skills, dedication, and natural ability. New students may try several classes to determine the best fit. After evaluation, they will be recommended for a class level that matches their skills and performance ability. Dancers are not fixed in a level and may be reassessed and moved to a higher level as they progress. Directors have a schedule for placement classes available at the Front Desk. For more details, see the attached "Class Evaluation Information" sheet. If you have questions, please ask at the Front Desk.

Does RDC have an attendance policy?

Yes, students are expected to attend and arrive on time for all classes. Please notify the school in advance if you will be absent. Arrive no more than 15 minutes before class begins, and parents should pick up their children promptly at the end of class.

Attendance Policies:
Report absences to the Front Desk before class starts.
• Dancers in inappropriate attire or without required shoes may be asked to observe or be sent home.
• Warm-up is essential for injury prevention and class productivity.
• Dancers will not be admitted to class after the first 30 minutes. If arriving late, they will need to schedule a make-up class.

What is RDC's makeup policy?

When a dancer misses a scheduled class, they will be able to make-up in any class that is age and level appropriate. You do not need to schedule a make-up class ahead of time. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes to pick up a make-up slip from the front desk and find the studio you will be dancing in. You must make-up the class in the same month it was missed.

Do I need to let the studio know if my child will be absent?

While it’s not required, we would appreciate it if you could let us know by email or phone call.

Do you have a waiting list?

Yes, if our classes are full, you can requsest the class and we can add you to a waiting list. We will contact you if a spot opens up or if we add a new class of the same type. When we reach out, you’ll have 48 hours to accept the space before we offer it to the next person on the list.

Can I watch my child from inside the classroom?

No parents, friends, or younger siblings are allowed in the classrooms during class. This rule helps students stay focused and minimize distractions.
