Zareh Markarian, was born and raised in Glendale, CA. He began dancing at the age of 15 with his national award winning dance team at Glendale High School. Upon graduation, he was awarded an opportunity to continue his training with the EDGE Performing Arts Center Scholarship Program. While on scholarship, he had the opportunity to work and dance with many choreographers. Since completing the scholarship program,Zareh has danced with many dance companies around the nation; Ballet d’Homme, Odyssey Dance Theatre, Seamless Dance Company, SoleVita Dance and Terri Best Dance. In addition to performing, Zareh has been teaching at Revolution Dance Center for 6 years and has choreographed for JKDC for 5 years. He teaches Ballet, Jazz, Turn & Leaps and Lyrical/Contemporary for ages5 and up. In the last year, he has become a certified Pilates Instructor and a certified teacher for Progressing Ballet Technique to help his students become even stronger and help prevent injuries. He loves to have fun with all his students but takes class time very seriously and wants all his students to get the best dance education.
